Growing & Cultivation

Where the coffee in your cup comes from — and how mushrooms are grown at scale.

The one that matters most

Fruiting body vs. mycelium on grain

The most important thing to understand about mushroom supplements. Fruiting bodies are the actual mushroom — dense in the compounds you want. Mycelium on grain is root structure grown on rice or oats, and much of what you harvest is the grain itself. It's cheaper for a reason.

We use fruiting body extracts only.

The number nobody prints

Why extraction ratios matter

An 8:1 extract means eight pounds of mushroom condensed into one pound of extract. It's the difference between a meaningful dose and mushroom-flavored powder.

Our ratios are printed on every jar.

This is the number most brands hope you never ask about.

The base

Coffee sourcing

The base matters as much as the mushrooms. Low-acid, medium-roast arabica — smooth enough that the blend tastes like coffee first, not a science experiment.

It should taste like coffee first. Everything else is a bonus.

The pricing section

Why we cost less

Most "premium" mushroom coffee is priced on three things: a proprietary blend that hides the dose, mycelium-on-grain bulk that costs pennies, and a markup that assumes you won't check. Remove all three and the price comes down without cutting quality.

No proprietary blend

Printing every milligram costs nothing and hides nothing. If a dose is embarrassing, that's a formulation problem, not a labelling one.

Pay for the mushroom, not the grain

Fruiting-body extracts at printed ratios. Mycelium on grain is cheap because most of what you buy was never a mushroom.

No retail layer

The jar comes from us. No shelf rental, no distributor margin, no gift-box pricing.

One product, not a stack

A single blend means no twelve-jar catalogue to subsidise. We make one thing and price it fairly.

We built our pricing and label against the category leader's publicly listed pricing and label info, Aug 2026.
